Patriot FC History

Upper Makefield Newtown Soccer Club (UMNSC) was started to encourage youths in Newtown and Upper Makefield to learn the sport of soccer. Since then we have grown into a competitive soccer club serving families across Bucks County, PA, Central New Jersey and beyond. In 2012, UMNSC changed its name to Patriot FC to more accurately reflect the diversity and reach of the club. The club uses fields at Council Rock North, George School, Brownsburg Park, Veterans Park, and Washington Crossing Park.

The growth of the club and growing popularity of the sport of soccer allowed us to hire Gavin Flannigan as our Director of Coaching and Player Development. Since 2010 he has focused on improving the quality and quantity of the programs for over 800 players. Today we provide soccer programs and training that challenge the serious player but also support the casual player. Patriot FC takes great pride in being a grass roots club that focuses on the development of players at all levels. Players learn about sportsmanship, the importance of personal integrity and embracing the commitment to their team, their friends and the club.

We are a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization governed by a board that consists of volunteers.

We have come a long way since the inception of the club and appreciate everyone who has contributed to the success and growth of the club.
