Game Day Procedures

The goal of these guidelines is to deliver the safest game day environment possible.  Implementing these procedures will require coordination between clubs, teams, players, spectators, referees, and volunteers.

Patriot FC team managers or safety officers will communicate these Game Day Procedures and any facility-specific guidelines to their opponents prior to hosting a home game. 

All players, coaches, trainers, spectators, referees and volunteers must strictly adhere to these procedures without exception.  Failure to do so will result in a discontinuation of the competition.


  • Health check by parent or guardian on player to ensure regular temperature and no symptoms of sickness before every game.

  • No player or coach can attend a game if they have a temperature >100.4 or are feeling unwell.

  • Each player must have their own equipment, including ball, cleats, shin guards, jersey, etc.

  • Players should bring hand sanitizer, tissues, and any other personal health items they may require.

  • No player should arrive earlier than 45 minutes before the scheduled game time.

  • Families should avoid car pooling with other families and teammates who are not in the same household.

  • It is strongly recommended that families limit the number of spectators who attend a game, no more than two (2) per player.


  • Every Patriot FC team will have at least one safety officer who is responsible for enforcing these procedures.

  • Visiting teams should self police their coaches, players and spectators. Everyone must follow our guidelines, league guidelines, and facility guidelines to create the safest game day environment possible.

  • Field layouts and game schedules have been modified to increase time between games and reduce crowding. 

  • Players and parents should park in designated spots for their game at the facility. (See facility maps for exact locations)

  • Players and spectators must wear face covering while walking from parking lot to their assigned field.

  • Spectators are asked to not walk through the field of play - please walk around the field to get to your sideline.

  • No team benches will be allowed as players should remain physically distance when not in the game.  

  • Players may bring their own chair to use on the sideline, cannot be shared with another teammate.

  • Coaches must wear face coverings at all times during the game.  

  • Players must wear face coverings when not in the game. 

  • Referees may remove face covering during the game.

  • Spectators must wear face coverings during the game.

  • Spectators must remain physically distant with others who are not in their household, while at the facility.

  • No sharing water bottles or food or equipment of any kind, including goalkeeper gloves, shirts, etc.

  • No spitting.

  • No high fives.

  • No handshakes before, during, or after the game.

  • No group celebrations.


  • No end-of-game handshakes with opposing team nor the referees.

  • Teams & their spectators must remove all belongings and trash from their technical area & sideline.

  • Please exit the field as quickly as possible to allow time for the next group to arrive and warm up before their game.

  • Players and spectators must wear face covering while walking from their field to the parking lot.

  • Please do not linger in the parking lot following your game.  We must limit the total number of people at the facility to 250 in order to be compliant with state, local and facility regulations.

Teams and their spectators will be located on opposite sides of the field.  Follow park signage for HOME Team or AWAY Team Sidelines.    The field-of-play is reserved for coaches and players, spectators should walk around the field to get to your sideline.
